Weekend Update

Lauren had a date on Saturday morning. It was a 1st date and he asked her if she enjoyed flying. He didn't give her any details but I told her, "He better not want to take you up in a plane", "Does he even have a license?", "Is he kidding, I don't even know him!" You know, all the mother kind of questions. She assured me that she would only go in a plane if there was a professional pilot and she didn't really know what they were going to do.... A little while later she calls me and tells me they are going on a helicopter ride to Payson for lunch. Payson is about a 2 hour drive from us in the mountains. And... that a professional pilot was involved. Hallelujah!

A few hours later I get a call that says, "Mom, I'm right above our house!" We all run outside and see a helicopter overhead. Crazy!

Andrew had his Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday night. It was a very well done ceremony along with 5 other boys. A huge thank you to all the leaders who have helped him over the years to receive this award.

Here are the cousins with my sister Tanya and brother in law Kevin. Kevin was a big help to Andrew. He let him borrow his tools for his project and helped him with the write up.

I love this picture of Andrew with his cousin Noah. I took more pictures but unfortunatly they didn't come out very well.

Lauren dressed up his table display. I like that he had his winning pinewood derby car there and his old cub scout shirt. Good memories!

I thought jumping on bullet bikes with my dates was the worst anxiety I could give my mom and dad.. Wrong! Flying would do it!

Do you read Nie? I may have to take a valium anytime I fly now.. professional or not.. :)

Congrats on the Eagle! We all know it's just as much the MOM and DAD as it is the scout! :)

You are way more calm than I am, I would be totally worried about my daughter in any small aircraft, but you have to give the guy credit for creativity. Also, Congrats to Andrew, such a great achievement.

What a great weekend!! How fun to have your first date in a helicopter. My sister lives in Payson, and I'm trying to decide where on earth they ate!!!???

What a relief to have the Eagle earned!!! It's a lot of work for a mom.
Have a good day.
