the ring

Some of you already know the story... While running errands one day I noticed that my center diamond was gone. I back tracked my steps but no luck in finding it. I've been wearing an anniversary band that I got for our 10 year anniversary ever since. It was fine but you know, not a wedding ring.

For Christmas each year Hubs asks for ideas. I usually give him 4 different ideas of things that I'd like and then he chooses. I mentioned that I kinda miss wearing a wedding ring. That's the gift he wanted to give me. Yes!

We went looking together. I decided to get a different style ring. I'm different then I was 22 years ago and was ready for a change. This one has 7 smaller diamonds in a circular shape. 6 to symbolize my 6 children and 1 in the center to symbolize my awesome husband. It reminds me of a flower. Hubs had a hard time understanding my love for receiving flowers. He would say, "They just die" I'd remind him that its the thought that counts. You're thinking of me and want to make me happy. He gets that and has been bringing me flowers often but still they die. Now he's given me a flower that will last. It's perfect.

Oh and I got insurance this time!

STUNNING!!!!!!!

Way to go, that is beautiful.

I lost my wedding ring after about 7 years of marriage. My hubby got me the exact same setting.

I think your ring is so gorgeous and I love the meaning.

I bet you felt like a newlywed looking for rings!

LOVE IT! And it's extra cool because of the meaning! I had to get a new setting a few years ago, when my ring was damaged and the diamond fell out. It was kind of fun shopping for jewelry again as old-timers instead of newlyweds. :)

beautiful Lisa! I'm a tad sentimental, but when it's time (after I've tolerated my hubby for 21 or so years like you) I want an upgrade also! Enjoy it. :)

That ring is gorgeous! I will have to check it out in person next time I see you. I too lost my center diamond one time. It was at the gym. After about 2 hours of searching it was found on the bathroom floor. The lady that found it thought it was just a piece of glass! It took me years to get it re-set and then I was so used to not wearing a ring that it was hard to start wearing one again. I only put it on now when I go out (and not to the gym!).
