100 lb. quest
I lost 1pound at my weigh in. A little disappointing after last week but there are 2 very good reasons.
1. I made this cake for dessert. We had people over for dinner and I wanted to try something new. I licked the batter and had a piece. It really does taste like a cinnamon roll.
2. I have my period. They told me that women retain 3 to 4 lbs of water. Nice, right.
Many have asked questions about what I'm doing so I thought I'd start at the beginning....
I have been struggling with my weight forever. I'd lose some and gain some more. Got pregnant didn't lose all the baby weight and got pregnant again. Got busy with life and devoted my time and energy into my kids. 5 of them! I love everything about motherhood. Truly enjoyed my life, heavy and all, but I was getting kinda frumpy.
My youngest was going into kindergarten and I was contemplating what that would mean for me. It might finally be my time to make some significant changes. I was ready.
One of the changes I wanted to make was weight loss but I also wanted to make other changes too. I was feeling old and like I was in a rut. Really it was time to take care of me. I started at the store and bought some new clothes. Long overdo. I researched skin products and found some good hair products. I started serving other people more and reading my scriptures with more depth and insight. Things were good. I was ready for the big change. Weight loss.
I had been watching Biggest Loser for quite a while. Enjoying their stories and amazed at their successes. Something that one of the contestants (the sisters) said that made a lot of sense to me. She said, she needed help and realized that she couldn't do it by herself. That's how I felt. I had tried for years and couldn't do it by myself. I needed help too. Now, where to find the help. I started Weight Watchers in July. (kindergarten here starts in August) I lost 20 lbs and was doing fine. Slow but steady. Then my husband wanted to lose weight too. I told him to join WW with me but he didn't like all the counting points and it seemed to girly to him. He had been hearing about Medifast and set up a meeting with them. He wanted me to come. We went and heard their speel and he wanted to join. He said I need your help. I won't be able to do it if you don't do it with me. My husband is diabetic and needs to lose weight. We joined up together that Saturday in October 2011 and started detox that Monday. That's the story.... and For the record, sometimes my husband has great ideas!

What an inspiration you are! Good for you.
So I googled Medifast. I was under the impression you can just order that stuff on line. I didn't know you had to set up a meeting and talk to someone.
Sounds like a great product!
you go girl.
One pound, is one pound!! Good for you. Keep it up.

so I just went to the website. It seems like very little food. Is it really doable? Do you only eat their 5 small items with one fresh green salad a day? Are you hungry all the time. Just wondering. I would love to try this....I hate counting calories, just like your husband.
