I did not get weighed on Monday due to the holiday.  Instead I did today and gained 1 pound.  How I hate the scale.   Well, I guess it's a love/hate relationship.  I've decided to go on another quest.  I want to lose 30 more pounds and then start maintaining this weight loss.  Both things sound very hard to do right now so I need a quest . 
- search: a search for something, especially a long or difficult one
- adventurous expedition: a journey in search of something, especially one made by knights in medieval tales
- something sought: the object or goal of a quest
 My goal is to be done by the end of this year.  I plan on having motivating rewards along the way ( mostly because I 
need them to help me keep going and stay motivated.)

I would love to join your quest. I started my weight loss quest about 5 weeks ago. It's slow and steady, but I am determined to do it my way this time, so it will be a lifestyle change and something I can actually do the rest of my life. I've been reading a few weight loss books and I have to say, most of them just don't make any sense for the long run in your life. I read one diet, where you literally punish yourself for 6 days, then becoma a glutton on the "cheat" day of your choosing. What kind of lifestyle is that? Anyhow, I would love to join your quest for success! Your example is great motivation. PS, I think everyone hates the scale, it must have a serious complex!
