Five Question Friday- 6/21/13

1. Have you ever been robbed and how did you handle it?
Yes.  When I was single, living in CA our house was robbed.  I shared a house with 2 other girls, we were all first time school teachers.  I'm the one that found the ransacked mess. They took our TV and went into my room and took my jewelry.  It was pretty awful.  Luckily I was dating my husband then so we were together all.the.time.  I wasn't as scared with him around.

2. What do you do at a kids function when Parents don't behave? Meaning they are the ones being impatient and rude.
It's pretty hard to be around. I have been known to ask if they needed any help.  Sometimes people just need a helping hand.  Not all.  Some are just plain mean but others are just having a hard day.

3. Have you heard of a potty party? Will you/have you had one for your child(ren)?
I think this question is about when your child is finally potty trained.  We did have some kind of celebration.  I'm not sure it was an actual party probably more like going out for ice cream.

4. How young do you think kids should be when they start taking swim lessons?
younger than you'd think. I'd say as early as possible. We live in a place where there are a lot of backyard pools so drowning is always a concern. My kids were young when they had swim lessons and they all swam on swim teams in the summer.

5. What makes you happy?
spending any time with my family, doing things for my family, going to church, going to the Mesa temple, dates with my husband, one on one time with each of my children, skype with my daughters, phone calls from my daughters, finding old friends of facebook, finding a new restaurant, losing weight, exercising, rain, clean sheets, thrift shopping, visiting with friends, vacations, icy cold drinks, a good haircut, etc......I guess I'm pretty easy to please.
