What an ordeal

My mom had shoulder replacement surgery about a week ago. She had it done at the Mayo Clinc Hospital in Phoenix. The surgery went very well the recovery however not so good. She started to get dizzy, nauseated, had a fever, had heart palpitations and was in a lot of pain. Her two day recovery turned into 6 days. She just doesn't bounce back like she used to. It was hard seeing my mom not healthy because she has always been very strong and very healthy.
Finally, she is getting stronger and feeling better. She's back home at the Appel/Burdick hospital (they live in mom's house). I'm very thankful for my caring sister who helps me have fun even all day long in a hospital waiting room. Tanya is mom's nurse and I am her driver. Teamwork!

I took her for her 1st Physical Therapy visit. She's doing very well and is in good hands. 3 times a week for a couple of months.

Joy For Your Journey said...

Thanks for dropping by my blog. I loved reading yours and seeing the beautiful pictures of your children. I always wanted six, but never got that last one. I still find myself wishing we had just one more younger. They all grow up so fast. Best of luck on your own journey of joy. :-) And good luck to your mother. Hopefully it her shoulder will heal quickly.
