State track

Andrew has reached his goal of qualifing for state! I love that he makes personal goals for himself and sets about to make them happen. He'll be running the 4 x 400 relay! Before he started on the high school track team I never knew how exciting it really was. There is alot of come from behind wins, dives over the finish line and even being pushed out of your running lanes by other runners.

His plans are to work this summer, go away to the Y in the Fall for a semester, go to the local community college in Jan. and run on their track team (the schools track coach saw him at state prelims and asked for his telephone number. He wants him to run the 400m on their team. It's nice to be wanted) :-) and then put in his mission papers because he'll turn 19 that summer.

Hey, I don't see finishing his Eagle Project anywhere on that list for goals....:)

Ha- you know I actually thought about that as soon as it published. He actually picks up the donated wood on Friday and can start building. It's suppose to be a one day build so soon I think.

Congratulations to him!! I wish him the best. I think that is one of the hardest races as you have to sprint the entire time.
