I need to clarify

It's not that I don't like the state of Idaho. I lived there for 2 wonderful years. Enjoyed myself immensely and met wonderful friends. One of my best friends in college was from Burley. The boys that I met were all hard working and from good families. That being said.....my issue is not with Idaho boys but with any boy.
I have encouraged her for so long to not have a boyfriend but just date a lot of different boys. She totally ran with that and dated a ton. She maybe ready for changes but not me. It's not easy for moms to grow up. Just when I get comfortable more life happens. Why, why, why did I encourage her to go away to school. Great for her, bad for me. I know I'm a baby and need to suck it up. I'll feel better tonight after "New Moon".

I totally know what you meant when you said the boy was an Idaho boy, and I live in Idaho! No offense taken...you could have said any state and have meant the same thing, right?
:~D

My son married a Burley girl...you're right, they're really great folks! My daughter married a Spud too...from Boise.

And we only lived in Meridian 2 years.

Hope your girl finds a great Idaho boy!

Oh, I hope Lauren finds a great Arizona boy!! I understood completely what you meant. My daughter married a boy from Colorado and now my only grandbaby lives 16 hours away and we only get to see her a few times a year. I mean I know you want her to marry the RIGHT boy, no matter what state he might be from, but believe me, it is so much nicer when they live close to you.

My son came home from his mission and worked for a while. We encouraged him to move to Provo so he could date. Well, date he did. And got engaged. And got married. All within 4 months. Left me speechless and breathless. I absolutely love my daughter-in-law, but it was tough to realize he was getting married. Interestingly enough, my daughter met his roommate and now they're dating exclusively. I'm thankful my son married in the temple and my daughter is dating an RM, but why can't we just freeze time and enjoy them a little longer as kids? Why do they have to grow up sooo fast?
