Friend Makin' Monday: Valentine's Day

This week's question is:

How do you plan on celebrating Valentine's Day?

Let's just say I love Holidays. Any excuse to celebrate especially with my guy I'll take it. Ours was a Valentine's weekend. We don't go crazy with gifts to each other but we do make time for each other and talk of romantic things and how much we love each other. It's been like a weekend long date. We went to a movie and had dinner at Carrabba's. I'd never been before. How did that happen- I LOVED IT! SO GOOD!

We've been trying to be better at having weekly dates. I can tell that taking time for each other has definitely strengthened our relationship. He really is my best friend. We got engaged a week before Valentine's 23 years ago. He wanted to surprise me (I expected something ON Valentine's Day) which he did. I was totally shocked. He's been surprising me ever since.

A tradition at our house is a Valentine's Day snack for the kids when they get home from school. I love holiday traditions!

Head over to Kenz at All the Weigh to link up too!

That is one thing I miss by not having any kids at home are the Valentine treats I used to give them or the cookies we used to bake together....As for the husband and I, it definitely is a plus because by not having the kids around we DO get more time together....I love that!!

I'm glad your finding more time together!

That is a cute treat!
I fixed a fancy dinner tonight and dipped some strawberries.

Looks forward to relaxing.

I love your love story! That's sweet.
Good for you for the date night. We need to get better at that!

MM.. Dipped strawberries sound so good right now! {well, when Hubby gets home (;}

Sounds like you had a great day! I really need to work on getting weekly, or at least every-other weekly, dates for Hubby and I. Not having the "adult" time together and alwasy being busy with our own things, and adding 3 young kids in there has definitely taken it's tole.

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. We had a weekend celebration as well. Then tonight we had FHE with Michelle and gave her a Valentine, played Just Dance and ate pizookies. Fun times.:-)

I love your tradition of the Valentine Snack. Very cute.
