Outdoor Reception

Nicole has always wanted an outdoor wedding reception for as long as I can remember.  She likes the openness of the outdoors and the intimate romance of twinkling lights as it gets dark.  Having it in December in Arizona was challenging but doable. The temperature was in the low 50's.  I had 6 outdoor heaters for us Arizona and California people.  The Utah crowd were in heaven. I found the perfect space (it was actually the home of a women who came from Arkansas and wanted to recreate Arkansas in the desert.)  She rents it out for weddings and large functions.  The yard was large and lush with beautiful flowering trees and plants everywhere.  Her gardens have even been photographed in a few magazines.

Since the backdrop was so beautiful we kept the decorations fairly simple and meaningful. Nicole likes books and music.  We incorporated those 2 things throughout the tables along with simple flowers, tea lights and picture frames of the couple.
