summer fun

Today was a fun day. I got tickets to a special advanced showing of Eclipse on the night before it comes out. Exciting!

And I got some yummy chocolates in the mail from Tauna. I was lucky and won her chocolate giveaway which is shocking because I never win anything. I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who has tasted her chocolates. They are delicious!

What summer fun are you looking forward to?

Temple Dedication

Today we went to the Gila Valley Temple dedication. Wonderful to see the prophet and hear him dedicate the 3rd temple in Arizona. Two more are scheduled to be built in Phoenix and in Gilbert.

I love where I live. Temples abounding and no snow! How can you not be happy when everyday the sun is shining. Okay it will be 110 degrees for a month but then I'll live in the pool or stay put in my air conditioned house. Instead of being snowbound I'll be sunbound. (Or hey have a wedding in that month and scare off our new Idaho family. Apparently, that's how we roll.) I apologize to any and all members of the Whiting Family in advance. My suggestion was for a December wedding with an outdoor reception. The lovebirds couldn't wait that long....oh to be crazy in love!

- Today is my sister Monika's birthday. Love you girl.

- We went to see Ironman yesterday. We held hands so it was romantic. (you need to read yesterday's post to understand that) It was good if you like that shoot it up, fighting kind of stuff. I still want to see Letters to Juliet but it might have to be a girls night. Who's up for a movie?

Father and Son Camp out and Randomness

- My little boy went on his 1st camp out. He had sooo much fun. They called me last night so he could tell me about his day and say good night. He wouldn't stop talking. It was so cute.

- Andrew had to work late but he still camped out with his friends. Two of his friends got their mission calls yesterday. One to Paraguay and the other to Brazil. Another just came home from Fiji. It's getting very exciting!

- Us girls stayed at home and got some chick flicks to watch. They're just better watched with girls. We ooh and awe on cue. We saw Leap Year and Post Grad but still need to watch 500 days of Summer. Definitely a fun girls night!

- I want to get away and head up north for a visit but I probably won't be able to. I'm missing my daughter. I wish time and money weren't always an issue.

- I've been using my new washer and dryer for a week now. I've done about 8 loads including bedding and stinky teenage boy working landscaping in the hot sun socks. ( nasty) The verdict.....It's love.
