Weekend Update

Lauren had a date on Saturday morning. It was a 1st date and he asked her if she enjoyed flying. He didn't give her any details but I told her, "He better not want to take you up in a plane", "Does he even have a license?", "Is he kidding, I don't even know him!" You know, all the mother kind of questions. She assured me that she would only go in a plane if there was a professional pilot and she didn't really know what they were going to do.... A little while later she calls me and tells me they are going on a helicopter ride to Payson for lunch. Payson is about a 2 hour drive from us in the mountains. And... that a professional pilot was involved. Hallelujah!

A few hours later I get a call that says, "Mom, I'm right above our house!" We all run outside and see a helicopter overhead. Crazy!

Andrew had his Eagle Court of Honor on Sunday night. It was a very well done ceremony along with 5 other boys. A huge thank you to all the leaders who have helped him over the years to receive this award.

Here are the cousins with my sister Tanya and brother in law Kevin. Kevin was a big help to Andrew. He let him borrow his tools for his project and helped him with the write up.

I love this picture of Andrew with his cousin Noah. I took more pictures but unfortunatly they didn't come out very well.

Lauren dressed up his table display. I like that he had his winning pinewood derby car there and his old cub scout shirt. Good memories!

Frames and Stuff.

These are the 9 pictures from the last post and the frames they will be in. I think that I finally like the order.

It all started with Nicole's senior pictures. I liked seeing how her personality was captured in all the shots. So I decided to get a variety of shots instead of just 1 favorite. When I bought Nicole's frame I also got 4 more for the other kids. The twins frames have been waiting for 2 years. Good thing I organized the garage so I didn't lose them.

These next two shots are the one's for our wall of school picture frames. You know the frames that change out every year from kindergarten to 12th grade. I always have such a good time looking at how the kids have changed over the years.

The rest of the pictures are all horizontal. I like these two because they were taken at the same location with the brook in the background. I'm not sure how I will frame them yet.

These are the black and white pictures. Same locations with the lake in the background.

These last two, just liked them.

My take on their senior pictures:
Nicole- she has a classic style, loves accessories (necklaces, earrings, high heels) , and showing her funny, silly personality.
Lauren- she's a cutie, playful and sweet, charming, a camera magnet.
Andrew- a boy looking a lot like a young man, this was actually a good experience for him because before this he thought that he couldn't/didn't take a good picture and that he was not very photogenic. Well, he can and he is.
